Dreamer addition of the Amazing Race

So last night, Thur 6/25 our staff leaders put on an activity for all New York internship sessions. It was the Dreamer Addition of the Amazing Race. We had to be in teams of four, so my roommates and I formed a team and Shane and Matt and their roommates were a team as well. We met at our dining hall at 7:30 where we were given instructions about the games. There was 6 checkpoints we had to get too.
1) We received our first clue which was to take us to the Empire State Building. There we had to look at a building directory and find a office # in the building that was for some company with the word "Dreams" in it.
2)From there we got our 2nd clue, that told us to go to the station where you can catch the last train to Chappaqua, but once we got there we had to find the time of the 1st train to leave for Chappaqua the next morning. We oddly enough my good friend Marisa is from Chappaqua and so I tried call her but didn't through :(. So the 1st challenge was to figure out if it was Penn Station or Grand Central. Well we choose Penn and now was that a mistake!! So we had to hop on a subway to get us to Grand Central, where we figures out the time to Chappaqua and received our 3rd clue.
3)This clue said to go "where the Christmas tree is lit up every year" and finish a line of the Star Spangled Banner. So we headed to Rockefeller Center, and
4)received our 4th clue that took us to the Ed Sullivan theater where the Late show is filmed. We had to name 10 reasons why we are "dreamers", basically said 10 random things.
5)We received clue # 5, that took us to Time Square "where the Ball Drops" and here we were met with pretty much the rest of the staff and were given a sheet of paper with a Broadway musical song on it. Yes we had to sing "All that Jazz" from Chicago, in the middle of Times Square.
6)And with that we made it to our finish line. We realized we were like team 13-16, not too shabby I guess :)!!!! (one team ended up in Queens, so that made us feel a whole lot better).

I know Shane and Matt's team did 10x better than our, then again they had 3 IPhones, and were wearing tennis shoes and proper race attire, where As my team, 2 girls made their shirts into dresses and my roommate and I were in jean skirts and flip flops (not that that is an excuse or anything)
Since we were all sweaty and gross looking the only logical thing to do would be to go to a Bar right? And that is what we did!!!!

Overall it was fun and I saw all the sites I had been waiting to see anyways :)!!!!

Now I am ready for the real Amazing Race!
