Hi Everyone,

I slept in until 11:45 this morning. Matt and I got out of bed, got our roommate Chris because he was awake, and met Kaitlin, Katie, Esme, and their new roommate Megan out front to find breakfast. About 3/4 of a mile of 3rd Ave was closed down for the Puerto Rican day parade. The parade wasn't on 3rd Ave, but there were booths lining the street with hats, knock-offs of everything, posters, and food. We all got Starbucks and walked up and down. After that we went to our rooms until 2:30, then all met up in the lobby to go "vintage shopping," where you go to vintage clothing stores and buy old used clothes. I didn't buy anything there but shopped at Urban Outfitters, Ralph Lauren, and Bloomingdales. I got three shirts for work, one pair of pants, two t-shirts, and a polo.

After 5 hours of walking around SOHO we headed back to our building. 10 minutes later we all went to The Pizza Pub across 23rd st. and had pizza and beer. I just got back from dinner, hung my clothes in the closet and am about to go downstairs to the sub-cellar to watch the Lakers/Orlando game in the TV lounge room.

I'm learning the city more and more each day. It's easy to navigate where the streets are numbered because the avenues don't change. It's when the street names change that it gets more confusing.

I didn't make it to Central Park today, but I'd like to go this week. There's so much to see and do, it's just difficult to fit everything in when I work 8 hours a day. I'll find a way.
