Saturday/Weekend

Last night we went to Webster Hall, a very cool three story dance club. 'Nuff said, we made it home safely ;)

This morning we met in front of our building with our large summer internship group. There were three double decker tour buses waiting. We took a two hour bus tour through Greenwich Village, SOHO (South of Houston St.), TRIBECA (Triangle Below Canal St.), past ground zero, through the financial district, past the pub where George Washington said adios to his army after the Revolutionary war, up into NOHO (North of Houston St.), through China town, into Mid-town, past Central Park, onto 5th Ave, and finally into times square where we walked to Hard Rock Cafe for our free lunch (part of the cost of the trip so it really wasn't free). It started raining lightly at the end of the bus tour so we put on dumb looking ponchos that said "Hey look we're not from the city. We're tourists!" I think it said that on the side of our bus too.

Hard Rock was good, then we split up and walked towards central park. Matt and I went to Central Park Ave and walked to 5th Ave where all of the shopping is. Kate and here roomie Katie took a subway back. We started out in the underground Apple store. Matt bought a branding software to make a cool logo for jobbam.com. I bought Armani sunglasses. If it ever stops raining and gets sunny I'll be able to wear them. Matt and I looked around at all of the expensive stores: Gucci, Prada, Armani, Versace, a watch store with watches that cost more than a new toyota, and finally walked 30 blocks down 5th Ave to get back to our building.

Now I'm here writing this. We're going to get some thai food tonight for dinner from a recommended thai restaraunt. If it stops raining we might take a subway to SOHO where celebrities hang out at nice bars and resaraunts.

Love you all!
Shane
